Demand Receptive Transport (DRT)
Demand Responsive Transport is organised in outlying places where commercial or main-stream coach operators are unable to provide bus solutions. Transportation is given by neighborhood taxi organizations. For site visitors struggling to stroll or cycle the four miles between Inversnaid and Stronachlachar, you need to use this service on cost of a bus fare without a taxi fare.
Bookings should really be made 24 hours in advance, although every effort will likely be built to accommodate people making bookings on reduced notice. This service is provided by Stirling Council for Trossachs and Strathard places that have no direct regular bus solution.
Within the Strathard location (involving the lochs) the service can be obtained between Inversnaid, Stronachlachar and Aberfoyle. DRT can also be available in the Trossachs, between Callander and Trossachs Pier.
Senior coach pass holders and disabled cardholders travel free. Holders of ‘Young Scot’ cards travel for 33percent off the top dollar.
